Hello! I'm Cooper. I'm a young (about 2 yr old), male Fox Terrier (???) mix who loves life!
I was rescued by a nice lady who found me on the street on a cold, rainy January night... It was awful! I was so cold and thin, but She coaxed me to her with some yummy animal crackers and brought me back to her warm home, where I'm staying as her foster dog.
I came to her weighing a mere 12.6 lbs but have been working hard (meaning eating anything I can!!) to try to gain weight and I am now a healthy, trim 16lbs. I am a lean, mean, long legged playing machine!
I have a 1 year old puppy to play with (and pester me) all day long. We wrestle all day long, taking short breaks to eat (I LOVE to eat!), and take short naps. I have a 4yr old girl and 7 year old boy to love on me and I love to give kisses to and play with.
I am kind to all dogs I have met so far and am great with people, and show no real interest in cats, so I would be ok with them too.
I might be a little shy at first, but you'd be surprised how quickly I will climb into your lap for some love! Some of my favorite time is spent cuddled up on my "moms" lap on the couch just soaking up her time.
I am fixed and up to date on shots and I am housetrained. I even go in and out of this tiny dog door whenever I need to go out. I enjoy being outside soaking up some sun, but come inside through the dog door when I've had my fill.
I enjoy car rides and when I go in my foster mom's van I stand with my front legs on the center console and lean over and rest my head on her shoulder. And I LOVE walks, but need to work just a bit on my leash manners- I get over excited when I know there's a doggy friend's house coming up and just cant wait to see them, so I sometimes pull a little.
All I really want in life is to be next to the ones I love... I'm still small enough (in my eyes) to be a lap dog and I will gladly make myself at home in any willing, warm lap. My tail is almost always wiggling and I always have a happy twinkle in my eye. I love life!
I have long, lean legs and would be AMAZING at agility work!
