My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Maximilian, but I prefer my nickname Maxie-Boy! I was once owned by a family that grossly neglected me and then dumped me in a very high kill shelter. The shelter doesn't give very expensive vet care so they had no idea how sick I really was. I didn't tell anybody this but I had an abscess covering over 85% of my gums and it was so painful to eat I just decided it was better not to. Not eating for about 6 weeks I became really skinny. The shelter put me on something called a Last Call list. These two great girls I guess got that phone call from that last call list and swoop down and mediately and rescued me from that high kill shelter! I was rushed to the vet and underwent emergency surgery for my gums! I stayed there for many weeks recuperating, but now I'm great! I'm healthy, neutered and up-to-date on all my shots and monthly preventatives!

I'm seven years young, get along with both cats and dogs, I like kids and I Bond very quickly and tightly with my humans. I'm very mellow, I do enjoy walks that are not too long. I'm learning how to play and I'm liking it. They say I'm very Zen. Maybe that's what you're looking for? I know if you're looking for a companion and love you found it in me!
