My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In rescue since July 2016, Foxy has come a long way! Once too frightened to come out of her crate, Foxy has become a playful member of the pack. She's as sweet as pumpkin pie and the same color too!
While Foxy plays great with other dogs, her relationships with humans remains look-but-don't-touch. She takes treats from your hands but prefers the company of a canine companion.
Foxy has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Foxy and her joyful spirit are worth the time and patience to show her that human companionship can be a good thing too. This beautiful girl is close to 1 year old and around 50 pounds.

We have had Foxy in our rescue since July 24th, same foster home. She is a very special case.
She will not come indoors. We built a 8x8 shelter for Foxy with a heated dog house.
She will also not allow a leash. Foxy had to be sedated just to get her to the vet clinic for care and spay surgery, and sedated again to get her home.
Foxy will need a companion. She loves to play with other dogs, especially puppies!
We do not know the cause of her fear of human touch, but we know she was isolated and traumatized. She does not react with aggression. She is low maintenance, yet earning her trust will take a lot of time.
Her rehoming would require a volunteer home check visit prior to meeting Foxy.
This is a true rescue case, and her potential family must consider the time a patience Foxy will require.
