Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 02/14/2017: Hi there everyone! It's me - Lambchop! Things have been going well for me in my foster home. I have been doing really good on my “alternative way of eating” and weigh 20 pounds – wahoo! Foster Mom said that if I lose another 3-5 pounds, I will be at a healthy weight. That should be easy because I love to run and play and go for walks.
The doctor says my thyroid levels are normal, which is great! He also said that I will need thyroid meds for the rest of my life, but I don’t mind taking it. The medication is Soloxine 2mg and Foster Mom said a 135 tab supply only costs about $32 and lasts for 4-1/2 months. That’s less than $1.75 per week – she said I am soooo worth that!
I have had a couple of prospective adopters fall through - no fault of mine, though. So, I am still looking for my perfect forever home. You ask - What would my perfect forever home look like? Well, it would have a fenced-in yard because I love to run and play and chase wildlife. Foster Mom says that if there’s water, I may want to romp and play in it – uh-oh. She said a fenced yard would keep me safe. I like to play with other dogs, so a fur-buddy would be fun (but only one). I also wouldn't mind being the only dog so that I could get all the attention I didn't receive in my prior home. One thing is for sure - I do not like cats, so no cats in my perfect home!! I will bark at them and chase them and they make me unhappy, and my barking probably makes them unhappy, too.
My perfect forever parent would be someone who is committed to my exercise and medication requirements and who would give me all the love and attention I desire and deserve! So in a nutshell, I love to be outside walking and playing; going for stroller and car rides; and love spending time with my person. If that person is YOU, I promise that I will be a great companion who will give you lots of love and shower you with kisses! Love, Lambchop!
