Fostered in Post Falls, ID

Hey there. My name is Niko and I am a young, small, handsome fella that found myself in an awful situation. You see, there were a few times where I was in doggie jail. My former owners couldn't keep me contained and I also jumped out of a truck. At that point, I broke my leg and it was never fixed. Once I ended up in the shelter again, they left me there and didn't come get me. It was then that Power of the Paw took me in.

I know I'm a pitbull, but I am the sweetest dog you will ever meet. I'm also quite well behaved. I have a few weird quirks, though. My favorite thing to do is take your shoes and bury them outside. So, for the sake of your shoes, keep them away from me. That's about it though. I am otherwise very well behaved.

I get along with dogs and would love a doggie sibling that has the same amount of energy. With my bum leg, I can't go on a lot of walks, so running my energy down with another dog is the next best thing. I used to be afraid of cats, but now I have determined that they are fun to chase, so cats shouldn't be in my forever home. I am also really good with kids, as long as they are respectful.

I can stay loose in your home while you are gone. In fact, that's how I have to stay. I have crate anxiety so crates make me too nervous and I will escape them. But, I sleep quietly at home while you are away, so that isn't going to be a problem.

I'm sure you saw that I have a bum leg. Power of the Paw has taken me into the vet on multiple occasions and have decided to try to get me into a wheelchair. Due to the lack of care, both of my back legs are weak and easily injured. A lot of exercise or activity makes me really sure, so hopefully with the wheelchair, I'll be able to run and play without the pain that follows!

If you have always wanted a small pitbull, I am the perfect fit. I'm even tempered and just want to be with my people. Head on over to www.powerofthepaw.org/dog-adoption-application to start the process.

ADOPTION FEE: $200 includes neuter, DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Microchip, Deworm and Vet check plus my wheelchair.
