Hi Everyone, I’m AVA ! I am a HAPPY little girl now that I have been rescued and I am free! You see, until recently I was captive in a commercial breeding facility until rescue angels stepped in to get me out.
It will take time for me to learn what being a doggie is all about. One thing I love is running in the back yard, I am joyous feeling the wind in my face and grass under my paws. My furever home MUST have a fenced yard for me and hopefully at least another similar sized dog to learn from and bond with.
My foster mom calls me ‘double time’ because my tail wags twice as fast as the other dogs! My foster home has several other cavaliers and a little maltese and I get along great with all of them. I’m engaged and really playful, happy to be one of the pack, and very interested in what the people are doing. I am still terrified of hands coming toward me. And I’m not quite the couch potato snuggler, but I hope to be someday. It will take time for me to continue my recovery and learn to trust and not be afraid. I need people who will engage with me but be patient and allow me to come along at my own pace.
I sleep in a crate with the door open or a doggie bed next to the big bed (both are available to me and I like options)! I am a good eater, and a petite at about 13 lbs., I am about 4 years old. My vetting is complete and I am healthy and ready to start my new life.
