Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darwin attended his first adoption event this past weekend and we think it's safe to say he charmed his way into a belly rub from just about every volunteer and passerby he met.
We believe he is a Lab/Hound mix and at most probably a year old. He not only is absolutely handsome but he has a magnetic personality that everyone can't help but to fall in love with.
Darwin was turned into the shelter as a stray. He spent his time there depressed and sitting in the corner of his cage with with head hung with sadness but immediately brightened up as soon as a person would give him any bit of attention. His love for people has not wavered since we've placed him in foster care either.
Darwin is a great mix between playful and snuggly. He really just strives for human attention which not only makes him very affectionate and loving but also very trainable as he is willing to please. He has inherited the loyal, friendly, and happy-go-lucky disposition of the Lab as well at the goofball nature and intelligence of the Hound.
Darwin is almost full grown but it's important to remember that he is still very much a puppy at only a year old. We are working with him on his basic manners like jumping up when excited (he can't help it, people are so exciting!) and potty training but he takes direction very well and already knows "sit". He is great with other dogs and has been fostered with kids. He isn't quite sure what to make of cats, they are so cute but he can't understand why they don't want to play. This boy is such a catch and he's going to mature into such a wonderful dog.
