Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Henri is a 6-7 year old male yellow labrador weighing in around 75 lbs. He is a big lovable boy with a goofy personality. He loves to go for car rides and hang his nose out the window, play catch with his tennis ball and carry toys around the house in his mouth. After play time he loves nothing more than to cuddle with you on the couch or his dog bed. Loves to be with his people!
He is house broken and knows basic commands of Sit and Shake. (Working on stay) When his foster parents are gone during the day, he is left out freely in the house and has not gotten into anything or chewed anything up. He will go in a crate if needed but doesn't particularly care for it.
He does pretty well on a leash but does get distracted when other dogs are present. He will likely require continued leash training as he is a strong dog. Henri is very food driven and will focus more on training when training treats are used. He gets along well with other dogs (he was fostered with both female and male dogs) and he did OK with the cat in his first foster home.
We are not sure how he does with kids as neither foster has children. Based on his size and strength, he would likely do better in a home with kids that are a little older. After recovering from an ear infection, his ears remain sensitive and he does not like them pulled on.
He would do well with a fenced in back yard or daily leashed walks for exercise. His recall (coming when called) needs work, so off leash in an open area is not going to work for him until more training is completed.
Henri did have two small masses removed (as you can see in the one photo), which were biopsied and came back as non-cancerous. The report says that they were properly removed and should not come back.
