Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Robin has had a rough go at it. She was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in LA and came down with a nasty case of pneumonia. She spent close to two weeks in intense care at a local Veterinary Hospital. About a month after her rescue she was finally stable enough to come up to our rescue in Oregon.
She still has some congestion and upper respiratory troubles, so she will need on-going monitoring for her condition. Being a Cali girl, she does not always appreciate having to go outside to do her business, so it's a good idea to keep potty-pads available.
She's an absolute doll and clown at times! She LOVES to snuggle in her little sleeping bag and will curl up right next to you (under the sheets!) in bed. She does fine with doggy and kitty friends, as long as they don't take away too much of her attention; she has a bossy side ;-). She would prefer to be the only princess in the home, but does fine with other respectful dogs and mellow cats.
We are happy to consider applications from people who are willing and able to care for her in a holistic manner, i.e. continue her care with a Holistic Veterinarian, feed her real, raw, or real dehydrated food and provide healing supplements. Due to her health issues, her home and environment needs to be strictly non-smoking. Ideally we'd like her to move to a little dryer climate, like the Bend, OR area, or live with a family who travel South for the winter. Yes, we will be picky if and when we adopt her out ;-)
