Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelby
Corridor Rescue was alerted via Facebook to a puppy laying lifelessly on the side of the road, thought to be injured and in need of help. One of our incredible volunteers rushed to the scene and found little Shelby in heart wrenching condition. At just four months old, Shelby was malnourished, badly dehydrated, mange invested and covered in lacerations. You think this is a lot to handle for a little puppy? It gets worse, she has flattened feet, likely due to malnutrition.
Despite the bad condition she was in, one thing immediately stood out, her sweet personality. Shelby was all tail wags and clearly relieved that someone noticed her. Life had not been kind to her thus far but little Miss Shelby is safe now. She has become a joyful little puppy. Her skin has healed, her coat has regrown beautifully and she even has a little spark in her eyes, the kind of spark every puppy should have when exploring what life has to offer. We consulted two veterinarians regarding Shelby’s feet and both are in agreement that a good diet and additional vitamins should correct them over time.
This is what her foster had to say about Shelby: Shelby is thriving! She knows her basic commands (sit, outside, inside, go potty, go to bed and let's go for a walk). Most importantly her feet are significantly better. She walks about 2 miles a day with no problems. My dog is 1/3 her size and they get along quite well. They will play tug of war and snuggle. She's had a few accidents but when kept on schedule, she has no problems. I have a dog walker that comes mid day to let her out. She does cry for a bit when you put her in her crate but doesn't last long. Shelby is very loving and laid back.
We think Shelby was born in June of 2016. She is probably a Labrador Retriever mix. She is all set to become a loved and cherished member of your family. She is excited about what the future will hold for her and cannot wait to meet you!
**Shelby is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $185.
We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.
Our puppy adoption fee of $250 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
Please apply to adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org.

Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
