Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING!
Hi there! I can hear you, but I can't see you. You mean, it is not that way for everyone? Gee, I get along quite well, but then I have been doing this for a long time, so it is pretty normal for me. I adapt well to new environments with a little time and patience and guidance. Right now I am in a kennel because I lost my home. I don't understand why my family never came to find me, but then they never took good care of me and I don't understand that, either. I sure wish I could get the loving and attention the other doggies are getting in their new homes, and I am hoping I will have one soon, too. I love people and kids and I get along fine with the other 3 Cockers in my kennel. If you want two doggies, Ellie is my buddy, and we could be adopted together if you liked us both.
Here is a little about (drum roll)--ME! I am usually about 24 pounds, but I have put on some weight in this kennel as I don't get the exercise I used to. I love walking and exploring in my harness, but I have not had a chance to do that in a long time. I am told I have really pretty, velvety black hair with some pretty tan markings. I hear them call me a black and tan Cocker. I am about 8 or 9 years old. I cannot remember my birthday. I was very young when I was born. I love playing with stuffy animals and getting belly rubs--oh, yes! Love those belly rubs! And cuddling time! Bring on the cuddles!
I sure would like to have a home in which someone was around most of the time. No stairs is pretty much a no-brainer, but I do know how to use a doggie door if you have one. A nice, safe yard would be great, because I just love to sniff all over the yard, given the chance. I do not like apartments or condos.
My rescuer calls me a "sanctuary" doggie. that means that when I get adopted, she will pay for all of my medical expenses for the rest of my life. How neat is that! If you cannot adopt Ellie and me (she is a sanctuary doggie, too), maybe you could at least foster one or both of us until our forever families can be found. Please call Ann at 805-499-4488.
