Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet sugar faced girl was picked up by a local shelter running with another younger male mixed breed dog who had Ohio tags on his collar. Piper is calm and sweet and seems to get along well with other dogs. She is approximately 7 years old. She is current on vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative.
Foster Update 8/31/08:
Since Piper's arrival here, we have been nothing but pleased. She is calm, affectionate, completely tolerant (in the kid department!) and gets along well with her foster Golden brother, Watson. She has wonderful house manners - she has the run of the house all day while we're at work and is completely house broken, does not get on furniture, does not get in the trash, counter-surf or any other naughty-dog activity. :) She waits patiently, tail wagging, for her food and has the softest mouth when taking a treat. She's great on the leash and enjoys neighborhood walks. As soon as you pet her she rolls onto her back for a belly rub and is in love with the grooming brush. I can't say enough good things about her. She's a perfect angel and a lovable sweetheart to boot. This beautiful Golden is a dream - she has plenty of wonderful years left and would make a fabulous addition to any family. Please keep her in your prayers that she finds that perfect forever family soon.
Foster Update 8/28/08:
We brought Piper to our house last night. Watson was all... Well Hi! Who are you?! My name's Watson! Nice to meet you! ...And she could have passed for a cat the way she completely ignored him. :) She had a late dinner (and Watson had to have a late night snack as well). Then she plopped down next to the couch by Laureli. They (both dogs and the kiddo) spent the night in the family room and had breakfast together this morning, as well as a good sniffing session in the backyard. As this activity is just exhausting, both Goldens were crashed when we left (surprise, surprise). I think they'll keep each other company just fine.
