My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi!  My name is RUSTY and this is my story.  I am a very enthusiastic boy and love to chase almost anything – flies, lizards and even a flashlight beam – no I am not a cat!!!

I have a couple of little “quirks,” like in the early morning when I wake up I can be vocal.  After breakfast though, I quiet right down.  Later in the evening I appreciate my quiet time and tend to find a safe place to relax. Sometimes I get excited when I am disturbed but trust me it is only because I was startled.  I like things “on my terms” and I’m happy to crawl up into your lap and snuggle.  I look forward to sharing my life with you.

  • I definitely need a fenced-in yard to run around in.
  • Long walks are a must since I love to be active.
  • An experienced dog owner should be able to understand and deal with my little quirks.
  • I’m a nine-year old Ruby male being fostered near Tampa and my adoption fee is $300.
