Meet Sadie! Sadie and her sister Stella were saved with minutes to spare from a high kill shelter in Georgia. We simply could not say no to these faces! Both girls are in foster homes with other dogs. Both are being crate trained and are working on house breaking. The vet estimates them to be about 4 months old.
If you are interested in meeting Sadie, please complete an application at our website, www.helporphanpuppies.org. Please note our adoption requirements and feel free to contact us with any questions. Thank you.
We will be holding 2 adoption events at the Healthy Pet Center in Latham (775 New Loudon Road) on April 15 and on May 13 from 11 AM to 1 PM! Come meet us and some of our adoptable dogs!
Please note: All of our dogs are fostered locally a minimum of 2 weeks. Adopting a dog that has been fostered locally is a very important consideration. Animals that are fostered locally in private homes allow the fosters to learn more about the dogs personality and allows for making the best match possible. Also, animals that are transported into our area and placed directly often carry diseases, including parvo and distemper. Animals can also become ill on transports to the northeast, as they are exposed to other animals in route. If you have any questions regarding these diseases and the risks of not adopting locally, please contact your vet.
Also consider any group that does not require a home visit. If they are not conducting a home visit consider if they are vested in where their animals go. As an organization, we invest a significant amount of time into all of our dogs, including crate training, house breaking, obedience training, and determining each dog's personality to consider making the best match possible.
