Meet Delilah now in Rhode Island. Delilah (Lila for short) was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky.

Delilah was an owner surrender and had been in the shelter for a few months down in Kentucky. Her chance of adoption was slim because she is a black dog and unfortunately, black dogs don't get adopted in this area so have a much higher euthanasia rate.

Lila is a love. She is a smart gal and in a very short period of time, has already mastered the doggy door, is crate trained, has been doing her business outside and overall, just seems to want to please you. She appears to be a black lab/flat coated retriever mix. She is such a happy gal, her tail is constantly wagging, she is very social with other dogs and loves to play and also loves her toys, especially nylabones and rope toys. She seems very gentle so kids (respectful kids) would work. She also walks great on a leash.

She is not good with cats so a cat free home is required.

Her ideal home would be an individual(s) or family that wants a constant companion, enjoys walks and/or running, and if you have another dog for her to play with, that would be great (but not necessary). She has a great personality and is a love bug, simply looking for a loving, forever home.
