Initial Bio 12-19-16 Say hello to Chewy. He is an adorable 1-year-old yorkie. He is 11.8 pounds of sweetness. Chewy is being fostered in Dunedin, FL.



Chewy's adoption fee is $595 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Chewy by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.


Chewy became a United Yorkie Rescue dog just today. His family knew he was not getting the time he needed, and with his primary owner moving away, Chewy needed a forever home that could better care for this young fellow. Chewy should be ready for his forever home soon.

Chewy's former owner indicated that Chewy is a little timid in a new situation. He likes to take his time to settle in and feel comfortable. Once he does, though he is great with well-behaved children over the age of 10, other dogs, and all people. He loves to chew on hard toys and needs doggie bones to chew on because he does like to chew. He is almost totally house trained. He will need someone to give him the time to get him fully trained. He rides nicely in the car and is good on a leash. Chewy doesn't have a mean bone in his little body.



Chewy likes to sleep with his people and is not too fond of the crate. This fellow is a great dog He just needs someone who will be patient with him as he adjusts once again to new surroundings and new people and fur friends.
