Scrappy is the perfect dog, except last year he lost most of his eyesight after a tick bit him. He needs a fenced yard and a "seeing eye dog" friend. His owner suffered an injury in the military and is unable to take care of the needs of a dog who can't get around very well by himself. Scrappy is 11 yrs old, well trained, well mannered, gets along with other dogs, even tolerates cats. He is over weight since becoming so inactive, but in his foster home he has someone to run and play with, and all that activity has renewed his spirit and he has lost a bit of weight. His Foster mom says he is very smart. When she sees he is about to run into something, she says "bump" and he has learned to stop and check out his space. Scraps is a dear sweet boy, and his Foster mom would love to keep him, but she has a very small house full of wonderful antiques with lots of legs, and he is really having a struggle learning where they all are. Out in the yard he can run like the wind, if someone is with him. Is there one of you out there who can give this boy a happy and comfortable 5 or 6 years in his senior time of life?
