Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In the spirit of Christmas we named this handsome, jet black boy, Coal. He is a bit shy and very coy when he first meets you. Once he warms up he becomes silly, playful, and mischievous like most puppies. He is affectionate and social, but needs your patience when teaching him new things. We suspect he was yelled at or manhandled so he will cower if he feels uncomfortable. Since gaining our trust he has learned to walk on a leash, he is potty trained, and crate trained. He will make you feel guilty for putting him in a crate (in true puppy fashion), but within a minute or two he settles in and enjoys whatever we have given him to chew on. He sleeps through the night, not a picky eater, and is very good at entertaining himself. We feel he would do well with older children, because he is very mouthy and can be nippy. It is a typical behavior of many of the small dog breeds. He stops when corrected, but the nippiness may never completely stop. He would really love a family of his own. Having a doggy friend(s) would be a real plus. We are not sure about cats, but he is very young and could be taught to coexist. Healthy, up to date, has his bag packed.
