Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Benjamin is a precious boy who appears to be a Beagle with some Bassett hound in the mix. He has a longer body then a Beagle but his mannerisms, tail and carriage are pure Beagle. He has the patented “Beagle Bark”. In fact, he is so dedicated to doing the Beagle Bark correctly, he stops whatever he’s doing, puts his nose in the air and gives a big beaglerooooooo when the need arises. There’s no multi-tasking for this boy, a bark should be given the attention it deserves. That being said, he is not an over-barker. In fact for a Beagle, he’s pretty quiet. Regardless of his lineage he is absolutely adorable! We like to call him Benjamin Beaglejuice, Benjamin Beaglebug and Benjamin Beaglehound.
He is very loving and sweet and likes nothing better than to cuddle on the couch. He crates well and will sleep quietly at night in his crate. He is learning house manners, and is doing well on potty training. Benjamin was heartworm positive and he has been undergoing treatment. During the treatment, he has to take steroids which causes him to drink more which in turn causes him to urinate more. He has had some accidents due to this, but overall knows the appropriate place to potty.
Benjamin is friendly with the other dogs in his foster home. He likes to cuddle with them and give them kisses. He has also tested cat safe. This fella loves everyone!
He loves to play with toys and will pull them out of the toy box and spread them around the living room. It's much easier to inventory your toys if they are spread out instead of being scrunched up in the toy box.
Benjamin's adores petting and will walk up to you, put his head on your knee and make a soft whine so you will pet him. He is so loving and sweet it's impossible not to adore him.
His foster family does not have children, but he gives every indication of enjoying a home with children. He loves to interact with humans and is very affectionate which leads us to believe that he would do well with children.
Looking for a wonderful addition to your family? Then Benjamin is your man!!! Ask about this fantastic boy today!!!

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
