My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Austin! Austin is a gorgeous 17 month male purebred German Shepherd. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and has been kept on all monthly preventatives to keep him healthy. Austin absolutely loves other dogs!! He currently enjoys playing with his best friend, a Labrador, in his current foster home. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, Austin does okay with cats even though he can be curious of them at times, he would never hurt a thing. Austin was raised in a home with a single woman who did make every effort to socialize him well while growing up. Austin has is even a graduate of the Petsmart Training Academy. Even with all the efforts to socialize Austin he is still a timid dog. He will require a special person that will have patience with him. Austin has extreme potential and would be a wonderful addition to the right home that will love him properly.

In order to pursue an adoption for Austin you MUST research this breed thoroughly &/or have previous experience handling German Shepards, or similiar large breed dogs. You MUST be willing to be patient and willing to give Austin the time he will need to adjust to your new home and surroundings. As mentioned above, Austin does well with women but has not had much socialization with men. AUSTIN IS NOT AN AGRESSIVE DOG! He is simply timid.
