Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO.
Ned is our darling 3-4 year old Bichon. He weighs approximately 12 pounds. Ned is one that can join you on your errands or take a stroll around the block and will sit in your lap for you favorite movie! Ned gets along great with other dogs and cats too! He is very good in the house and loves to lay on his bed and watch the birds and squirrels. He LOVES to go for walks too. Ned is NOT a barker.
If you are interested in giving Ned a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you.
Ned's adoption donation is $495 which helps us to cover the, neutering shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, vet examination, heat worm prevention and flea/tick prevention and does include transport.
Ned is fostered in Tennessee and will travel to his new family once he has been adopted. We use a weekly pet transport, PETS, LLC, to take the dogs to MD, VA, PA, NJ, NY, CT, VT.
***Ned is heart worm positive but is healthy and not showing any symptoms from the heart worms. Rather than putting him through the heart worm treatment that is dangerous, we are choosing to keep him on a monthly heart worm prevention, such as HeartGard. If given consistently, at the end of 18 months, Ned should be heart worm free. The HeartGard kills the baby heart worms before they can become adults and the adults die off naturally. This is a much safer, gentler method than having the immiticide injected into the heart.
Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
Thank you for considering one of our rescue dogs.
