Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ida and her brother Oliver were rescued from a yard in Berkeley when they were at about 5 weeks old. They were estimated to have been born in mid-August 2016.
Their mom now called Bluestone aka Babe was a tame neighborhood stray. Bluestone is also available for adoption.
Ida has a short coat, she is a striped tiger/tabby with black and brown-grey coloring.
She is a sweet gentle lap cat that likes to snuggle. She's friendly and affectionate, initially shy but adjusts quickly to new situations; she is then outgoing and social, busy/curious and more confident. She's still a young kitten so is high energy and active but calms down. She likes attention most of the time and likes to follow her foster Mom from room to room. If she were adopted into a home with younger children her adjustment period would be a longer than if she was adopted to an adult only household.
Ida is currently fostered with her brother Oliver. She has no experience in interacting with dogs but with a slow introduction to a gentle dog she would probably adjust given time.
She is spayed, current on age appropriate vaccinations. She tested negative for Feline HIV and Feline Leukemia. She is wormed and has been treated with prevention medication. She is microchipped and is ready to go to an indoor only home.
If you're looking for a pair then also check out Oliver, Ida’s brother. The siblings have similar personalities. They also look very similar except that Ida has more black on her back.
If you're interested in meeting Ida she will be at our Oakland adoption site most Saturdays 1-5pm at Pet Food Express 6398 Telegraph Ave Oakland 94609. For further information contact Jacquie at 510 760 8460 or jb94530@gmail.com
