Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zoura's new home must have a fenced yard with a fence she cannot see over and already have a playful canine in the household that is a permanent family member.
Zoura weighs 69 lbs as of 11/26/16 and she is estimated to be 3 years old.
Zoura is a happy smart social affectionate girl who loves kids, dogs, men and women. She does not appear to be a good match for a home with cats. She currently lives in a foster home with both small and large male and female dogs. She loves them all and is a submissive pack member. A female Cairn Terrier sometimes enjoys bossing her around. Zoura really enjoys wrestling and playing chase with her canine companions. She is house trained with a doggy door. Zoura knows the sit command well. She is the only dog in her foster home that is not crated because she came from a trailer park where she was tethered outside for the last 2 years. She has not adjusted to a crate. When she is left out in the house to roam free she has not destroyed or chewed on anything. She also has not had any accidents. At night she sleeps where she wants which is usually in her foster mom's bed. Zoura was rescued on 11/22/16, so she is still adjusting to her new life but her foster mom remains amazed at how resilient Zoura is and how fast she has adjusted. Zoura will be able to go to her new home as early Christmas.
Zoura's adoption fee is $200. She comes with heartworm prevention. Depending on when she is adopted will determine how many months of preventative she comes with. If she is adopted in December then she will come with 5 months of heartworm prevention to begin Jan 1st. Her new family will be able to refill the heartworm at the end of April 2017 for $35 via TCAP (www.texasforthem.org). She is up-to-date on vaccinations, she tested negative for heartworms on 11/27/16, she has been dewormed, she will be spayed and microchipped.
If you have questions or want to apply to adopt Zoura, please email her foster mom Gayla ggwiths2r@gmail.com
