Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at this adorable puppy!!! This guy is named Frankie and he is a 25 pound-ish approximately 7 month old neutered male Dachshund Mix. He is microchipped, vaccinated, and started on heartworm prevention and well loved by his foster family and the family that cared for him before he came to us. The family that had him and sought out our help got him from another person who rescued him from a homeless lady. Their intention was to find him a home but in the meantime they cared for him, vaccinated him and kept him as their own.
The previous family that raised him before he came to us had three other dogs that they had rescued before him. Those dogs were small like Frankie but were very spirited and barked frequently at other dogs. It wore off on Frankie and he is now pretty defensive around new dogs because he learned it from the other dogs in the home. They didn't bark at him, but did bark at all other dogs while on walks and such, and so he learned it from them. However, he is currently in a foster home that is helping him overcome this and he is playing and loving to the dogs in the home but not while on walks.
Frankie is learning about housebreaking and is getting much better. He is also crate trained now and will sleep quietly in his crate with no accidents. Good boy!! His stumpy little legs are adorable and he is great with all of the humans that he has met, adult and child. He is a big sweety and the volunteer that evaluated him fell in love with his sweet nature right from the get go. He is a cuddle bug with people and would be a great family companion.
Have a good home for Frankie? Email us today. His adoption fee is $250 plus a $10.99 chip registration. We are so excited to have you meet this sweet dog!
