SophieSophie is probably the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She is a golden retriever mix and weighs approx. 45 lbs. She is 3 years old. Sophie is very gentle with children and has been around my daughter since birth. She will give you kisses but is not as needy as big sister Sasha. She does okay with other dogs once she gets used to them. She will bark at strangers though. She does not like cats. She has shorter light hair and does not shed very much. She does not like crates but is 100% potty trained. She is microchipped but had a slight skin allergy to the last flea control treatment so I temporarily took her off. She does not have fleas. Sophie would do fine in a home with working parents as long as she has another dog there to play with. Ideally, I would like to find her a home with someone there the majority of the day. Sophie was a stray and has some food issues such as stealing from the counter if I leave food too close to the edge or going through the trash if I leave it within her reach. She loves being outside for periods of time, however, she is not an outdoor dog. She does need a leash when being walked or she will run off. She seems to be in great health but is due for shots and a vet check, therefore, I am not asking for an adoption fee. She is spayed. I will require an application, vet references, and possibly a home visit.
