Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When they were only a few days old, Jan and Sue Lynn were found by a little girl in Grove City, crying under a bush. It would be wonderful if these lovely little sisters were adopted together, but we will consider separate adoptions. Based on when they opened their eyes, they were born on October 9 plus-or-minue one day.
Jan explores a little more than Sue Lynn. She also opened her eyes first and learned to climb first. She is an adorable little girl with beautiful big eyes. However, I have not been able to take a picture that really shows her cuteness because she constantly comes to me to be held. It is hard to photograph in focus when the baby is constantly moving forward. Wherever I place myself to get the picture, she looks for me and comes in my direction. She loves to be held and purrs constantly when with people.
All of Nature's Gifts kittens are bottle-fed (we only raise orphans), making them much more attached to the humans who were their surrogate mother. However, this litter never saw their own mother. They only think of the concept of "mother" as a human form.
All baby kittens are born long-haired. (It may be a protection against cold.) At about 6-8 weeks, they start to shed the long baby coat. In the photos, you can see the baby long coat, but as they are starting to shed, it definitely appears that they will be short-haired.
