Good day! My name is Jack. I was found on the streets and some really nice people brought me to Pets Return Home.
The vet says I am a Labrador/Heeler mix, I am between 8 months and a year old, and I am a happy, healthy, house-trained young pup with lots of personality!
I am nervous around people I do not know. I like cats, I really want to please my people once I understand what they want, and l am working on being leash trained, but I need a lot of help with that. I don't mind kids so long as they don't pull my tail or treat me rudely.
I am energetic and hope to get someone who will teach me and play with me, and go to the dog park so I can run. I like playing, and really want a forever home I can call my own, with an owner who will be patient with me as I grow up!
Is this you? I look forward to meeting you!
Behavioral notes:
Jack is a fun loving submissive dog. He is nervous of humans right now. This is due to lack of socialization with them. He does get used to people who have fostered him. Currently we are working with him on confidence. He plays with 20 plus dogs each day and is not aggressive at all. He needs an owner who will be patient with his fear. He will warm up in about 3 weeks once in a foster or adopt home. He does have some heeler in him and will on occasion try and nip a female heels. He knows this is undesirable and does not do it with us on the ranch. He is on house training and assessment now. He is a counter surfer. So some attention to correcting that will need to be done by his foster or adopter. He is house trained and crate trained. He will make a wonderful pet for a caring expressive person. He does like belly rubs and hiking.
