Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Shelby and her sibling, Zoey, have been together since birth (est. 3 yrs). They were kept together in a very small kennel, outdoors, in all weather, with no bedding. Their food was tossed on the ground for them to eat. They had a rusted coffee can to drink out of when rescued. Their kennel was never cleaned. In July 2016, one elderly owner passed away. Another of the owners was hospitalized, and not returning home. The third person on the property was struggling with untreated end stage cancer and has recently died. These two girls have never lived in a house with people. They have never been walked on leash. In fact, they have never been held, petted, or kissed by humans. They are both friendly girls who really WANT to interact with people. They are simply afraid. They will come close enough to lick your hand, then retreat. They are both learning about living indoors (and keep their crate clean if crated overnight). They are also learning to walk on a leash. They have shown no aggression toward people. These two girls MUST be adopted together and kept together. They need someone patient and willing to work with them over the long haul. Rehabilitation will not be quick and easy, but there is a lot of potential for these girls to be great companions. Zoey is the white dog. She weighs approximately 15 lbs. Still needs to put on some weight. Shelby weighs approx. 35 lbs.
