Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
8/20/08 Although Allie loves to play with other dogs, we think it might be best for her to live in an only dog household where she can get the love and attention she needs. Her love of play seems to overstimulate her! She'd be a wonderful candidate for the dog park because of her pleasant disposition. We were told this lovebug was 3 years old, we don't believe that for a minute....I'd say she's more like a one year old. 8/16/08 Another milestone! Nautical Allie has braved the boat ramp(squeaks and noises) , the boat motor and the white caps... also, the loons , baby ducks , waves on the rocks and sleeping in a tent . She is so loving she wants to sleep ON you , not beside you, wants to sit on the boat seat , not beside you on the seat and still does not grasp the idea of rest not play at 2 am!! She hops right in and out of the boat and wades with her foster brother and she loves to EAT! Her foster Mom says, "I swear she has a hole in her stomach! She is so cuddly and wants to be touched ALL the time. She's a bit awkward with those long legs!" Allie is learning fast and becoming a wonderful canine citizen. 8/11/08 Allie's foster Mom says she's doing less searching for food now that she realizes she's going to be fed on a regular basis. She's also learning some obedience commands and has "met" the pond!!! She's happy to wade while her foster brother swims though!! She's very good about staying with them when off leash. Just think about all the new things this sweet girl is learning, what a treat! 8/8/08 Allie has a new name and a new outlook on life! She loves to play with the dog at her foster home. She's learning about living inside and is very good about going outside to do her business. Allie ignores the cats at her foster home!! 8/4/08 I’m a petite girl who had a questionable life until now. I was left unattended at a shelter and the employees fell in love with me so they called Dane Rescue! Even though I’m not talking, it’s obvious that I’ve had a litter, maybe two. It also obvious I haven’t been fed as much as I should be. But all that’s behind me and I’m going to forget it because I’ve found a new world. My humans now care about me and are teaching me manners. I really want to please them because I’m so happy to be with them. I’m trying to be the lovely young lady they want me to be! I’m going to gain some weight with this quality food they are feeding me and I’m hoping to find a forever home. I love to play so I’d like to find a home with a friend for me to play with. Since I’m not talkin’ and my humans are just getting to know me, please check back because as they learn more about me, I’m sure they’ll post it here.
