My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It took patience to catch Penny. She spent hours and hours camped under a trailer-hitch that was permanently parked on the street. She would dart around and then back under the trailer-hitch where she found comfort and could hide. Over time, she allowed a volunteer to pet her and eventually she followed her through an open gate that was promptly closed. Penny was now safe, off of the streets! The first few weeks in our care, Penny was very shy and skiddish. Today, nobody would believe it when you meet her! She is the happiest little girl in town. She loves to snuggle, play, eat, snuggle, more play....Penny is great on a leash, loves to go for car rides and yes, play some more. She is a complete joy! She is young; perhaps a year, and we would like to see her go to a family that has another dog for her to romp with. Not only does she love to play with her fur-mates, she also loves to cuddle up to them. So, yes, Penny needs a companion! One thing is for sure, pictures do not do this girl justice. She is as cute as a button and her playful personality is a joy to watch. Penny will no doubt bring so much fun and love to her family.
