Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HI HI HI! My name is Bruiser, and I'm the cutest min pin/Chihuahua mix you’ll ever meet! I love everyone; especially children since they are my size humans!!
I came into Friends of Penny when a very nice lady came and picked me up from a place called a shelter. I didn't really like it there; so she sprung me, and I tried to play with her the whole way home!! You see, I'm still a baby; I’m only 9 months old!! And I LOVE to play!! I will play all day long if you’ll let me! I play with my new toys, with my foster sisters, or with my foster mommy! I'm also very sweet. When my foster mommy comes home, I spin, dance, and jump in her lap and give her lots of kisses to let her know how happy I am to see her. I also love to be in your lap. I bring my blanket with me, lie in my foster mommy's lap, and then try to cover myself up with it. It sometimes turns into a game, and then I start playing again!! Ok, my foster mom wants to put in a word, but if you happen to be looking for a cute, handsome, playful, loving guy, remember me!! BRUISER! BRUISER! BRUISER!
Hi, Bruiser is right; he's a great little guy! He's very loving, and super playful. Once he plays for a while and calms down, he will sit in my lap for as long as I will let him.
He's also up to date on all of his shots, is heartworm negative and on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and has been neutered. He is a pure joy to have in my home!! He's a bit of a marker, but once his hormones get out of his system, that will change.
Also, he is not potty-trained, although that is something that we are working on, and he picking it up very well He will need someone that is good with making sure he stays on a schedule as far as taking him outside.
Bruiser is also learning sit, stay, and come. Since he's still a puppy, so he's not great at it yet, but we're working on it. He's good on a leash. I'm working with him on crate training. If he's given a treat, he will be quiet, but without a treat; he sometimes cries. It just depends on his mood, I guess. He is wonderful with other dogs, and with children. He doesn't understand he can't jump on young children, so a home with children under 8 would not be preferable. He just wants to jump up to give kisses, but since they are little, he could knock them down.
He is not the typical puppy; he is not destructive at all. He knows which toys he's suppose to play with, and if he picks up something that he shouldn't, all I have to say is "Bruiser, no", and he puts it down. He loves to make his human happy. He will get embarrassed when he gets in trouble. All he wants to do is have fun, and please his human. It's about the cutest boy I have ever seen!! He's absolutely wonderful.
So when you application asks who you are interested in taking home forever, remember BRUISER! He will bring nothing but joy and happiness to your life!!
