My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET ROCKO da PUPPY!

The Italian Named Puppies: Rocko & his sibs (Vinny, Dominic & Rosie) are the result of careless ownership. The humans didn't spay the mother so she got pregnant & delivered her babies. Those same folks did not care about the pups so a neighbor contacted the Underdogs Puppy Foster (aka Beckey) & appealed to her soft heart. Luckily, the appeal worked! Beckey made room for them on her family's farm & now the puppies are learning about the good kind of humans. Now, they get food in their tummies, lots of love from the children & guidance from the farm dogs on proper dog social skills.

Rocky is the biggest & the sweetest of the litter. He is very active and loves to play- but he is very gentle when he does play with you. He'll be a gentle giant with a great personality. We guess him to be from mutt parentage with Labrador Retriever or Shepherd as the dominant breeds for the Dad & Husky for the Mom (although guessing puppy genes is like using a Magic 8 ball for info!)

The foster home is at a horse farm. This means he is around children, adults, barn cats, of course other dogs AND horses. He has major exposure to various species which bodes well for him & those who meet him because a socialized dog is a good dog.

If you perceive you are up to the commitment of having a puppy in your life, please contact Beckey via email. Beckey will request that you fill out an application & find out more about you & tell you more about the puppy. We want to do our best to make a good match for each one of our foster puppies.

All our puppy adopters will need to be knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) the how to of housetraining a puppy. Housetraining puppies involves frequent trips outside by person and puppy with lots of praise &/or rewards. No puppies go potty indoors for spite. It's all up to the people to teach the puppy kindly & patiently where acceptable potty spots are. And accidents will happen!

His adoption fee is $125 which covers some of the expense of his veterinary treatment & puppy care. Feel free to send an email with your phone contact information & details on why you want a puppy.

Thank you for looking a rescue dog.
