My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar (the grouch) is a neutered shih-tzu/Lhasa mix who is 2 years old (born 6/3/2014). He is good with other dogs, people and older kids (age 12+) and has personality plus. He is smart and stubborn and needs someone who won't put up with shenanigans!

He was found in a hole, emaciated and covered in muck. We don't know why, but grooming is beyond difficult with him. He's terrified (and aggressive) with brushes, clippers and getting his nails trimmed. So his adopter will need to understand that he will have to be taken in and be sedated for grooming - and grooming for this little guy is a MUST.

We were able to get Ace from the vet and sedate him enough that we could groom him here, but it still took two people. I would love to know what happened to this boy that made him so scared of grooming :(.

His adoption fee is $175 and includes age-appropriate shots, worming, microchip, neuter. An approved application is required (which can be found here: http://pawsitivetailsrescue.org/our-adoptable-pets/pawsitive-tails-rescue-dog-adoption-application-form/), as is an adoption contract.
