Ruby is a friendly but shy and frightened chihuahua. Her first mom passed away and no one was able to care for sweet Ruby. That's when she came to the local shelter. Ruby needs a quiet home with an experienced pet owner. She tends to be more calm and trusting with females. (Her previous owner was an elderly lady.) I believe given the chance, Ruby will make a wonderful companion animal, she needs someone calm and loving to help her adjust to her new environment. Once she trusts you, she is very loving and craves affection. Since she is in the city facility, we are unsure if she is completely potty-trained or how she is with small children and cats. She came to the shelter with a companion animal that was unfortunately euthanized by the city, so Ruby has been left alone and scared. If you believe you can provide her with the home she desperately deserves please consider giving her a chance.
