My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucille was originally found by a Good Samaritan in their pasture where she had laid for 2 days with no food or water in the middle of the Georgia in July. Being 100% blind, Lucille must have gotten confused as to where she was, attempted to find home and collapsed in the heat. She was taken to animal control to see if an owner would come for her but no one ever came. Maybe her owner dumped her...we will never know. Being 12+ years old in animal control, Lucille was quickly slated to be euthanized so we pulled her and brought her into the safety of our rescue. Lucille is as sweet as can be and gets around pretty good once she knows her surroundings. She goes outside for potty time, wanders around 5-10 minutes, and comes back in. She is completely not aggressive and gets along with all the other dogs here. She weighs 61 pounds, walks well on a leash and is crate trained. A good joint supplement would be a good maintenance plan for her and she does well on senior food. We do not think Lucille has ever lived indoors before coming to us. She had a UTI and a few other things when she came but now she is happy and healthy. We are unsure as to whether she has been spayed but do not wish to put her through the surgery as her age. She is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, flea and HW prevention, microchipped and all other vetting. Lucille is looking for a family that wants to be her Angel and give her the life that no one else ever has. Could you be that Angel? If you have room in your home or heart for Lucille contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com for an adoption application. We do adopt up north and all over so just ask for details. Vet reference is required to ensure a great home. $150 adoption fee
Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip is included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
