Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy came to us from an owner who could no longer keep her. After taking her in, we discovered that she had a UTI and was heartworm positive. Daisy has been started on HW treatment and will be done mid November at which time she will be spayed and then she will be ready for her new home. However we are wanting to make sure she already has a home waiting for her when she is ready...so we are taking applications now. Daisy is 4 years old and 46 pounds. She is super sweet, loves attention and is really a ham. She would be best placed as an only pet because she chases cats and has shown that she can be quirky around some dogs, especially small dogs (this is typical of the breed). Daisy is crate trained, walks wonderfully on a leash and the previous owner said she is housebroken! Daisy loves walks, playing with toys and lounging on the sofa/bed after a romp outside. Daisy is looking for an inside forever home with no other pet and a family who are knowledgeable about the breed. If this sounds perfect for you, contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com to request an adoption application. We adopt up north and all over so just ask for details. We require a vet reference to ensure a great home (this means you have to have owned a dog in the past so we can verify the level of care). Please be sure you are knowledgeable about the breed, care, cost and requirements before submitting an application. $450 adoption fee
This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip is included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
