Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This loyal devoted dog was left at a shelter with her seven newborn pups, and she was a fabulous mother, protective and committed.
The pups - who we have for adoption - are ready for homes and Rachel is too! She is a terrific dog who will be a fantastic companion and has great qualities. She is house trained, leash trained, loves riding in the car, can be crated and is extremely quick to bond with humans who treat her well. She will thrive in an active home where hiking and adventure are part of her daily life.
But she has a couple of rough edges, presumably from her previous (unknown) life. She can be fearful of new people and may bark at strangers at first. She will be a bit of a guard barker but can be easily distracted. She becomes very submissive if corrected, so gentle reward based training will work well with this sweet gal.
She will do very well with other dogs and is good with cats. Older kids would be ok but she is afraid of young children.
