Max & Maybelline were part of an outside litter; they were brought into a feral cat clinic but since they were so young, and SO CUTE, it was decided that they were excellent candidates for fostering and socialization. These two little purr-buckets don’t even remember their previous life as scared fluffballs anymore; they’re eager to take on the world and find their forever homes.
Maybelline is a short/medium-ish haired female who might be mistaken for a skunk! She was originally all black but as weeks have passed, a gorgeous white stripe has emerged along her back and tail. We should have named her Flower! She’s thoughtful, a little more reserved than her brother, and fairly cautious. She likes to watch Max explore and see the consequences for herself first before she decides if she wants to join in. She’s pretty content to lounge in a sunny window or sometimes a warm lap. She’s certainly playful with Max, but again, just a little more cautious with people, although she can’t resist the crinkle foil ball.
Both kittens have been in foster since approximately the end of July. They’re around 4 ½ months, spayed/neutered, FIV-negative, feline leukemia negative, litter trained, and will be UTD on vaccinations before adoption.
Currently they are on a mixture of kitten kibble, wet kitten food (IAMS), and commercial raw (Stella & Chewy) so they should acclimate well into whatever feeding option their new families desire. They are used to both clumping and clay litter and are fairly cooperative with nail trims.
