Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PEPPER is a 5 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 35 pounds but needs to double that weight. He is a shy puppy who warms up fast when people speak gently to him. He is good during his walks and is good with the dogs he has met. Pepper is looking for a family to help him gain weight and get healthy as he's undernourished. We don't have any cat or kid history. Pepper comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placement is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Pepper is approved for kids ages 10+.
Update: Pepper a sweet boy who is now enjoying romps in the yard, good food, and naps. He's quiet and house trained, has adjusted quickly to life in the 'burbs. Pepper is enjoying walks and does well greeting people and other pups.
Update:: Pepper found a stray squeaky ball today and thought it was the best thing ever! Check out his new pics!
Update: Pepper is a fairly quiet houseguest. He is calm both inside and outside the house. While he is unfamiliar with normal household noises he is not frightened just cautious. He is fully house trained and is left uncrated and does well except a few interesting items in kitchen trash can caught his attention/sniffer.
He loves attention and will wiggle his head under your hand to get some.
From transporter: Pepper is a very sweet dog. He is eager to please and enjoyed the car ride. He was curious about his new surroundings.
Update: Pepper is a sweet boy! After checking out his new digs, he settled down on a dog bed for a nap. He's a pretty quiet boy, but will protest a bit initially in the crate. He rides well in the car and enjoys taking in the sights of squirrels, greeting people and dogs on his walks. Pepper is doing well with his foster brother and enjoys laying next to him and getting kisses. He was initially confused by the stairs, but figured them out quickly, and he has great house manners. He's gaining weight, and is up to 51 lbs!
