Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Bobbi and the Strays with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful Ariel loves playing with her toys and being with the people she considers special. She is house-trained and really loves car rides and walks!
Ariel is an 11 year old Terrier mix who came to us from a city shelter. She is hoping for her second chance at love in a forever home. She happens to be a favorite of some volunteers and staff members at the shelter!
This girl loves attention and would thrive as the only pup in her home. She takes time to warm up to new people but once she does…you’re hers! She will trust you completely. Ariel is actually a lap dog who is currently at our Freeport location. She is spayed, microchipped, negative for heart worm, and up to date on all vaccines. If you would like to meet Ariel, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/. Kindly keep in mind that our adoptions are local only (NYC area and Long Island.)

We require all potential adopters to complete an adoption form. We will make arrangements to meet with you, inspect the home where the animal will live, and, once approved, you'll be able to take home your new family member. Fees will be discussed with potential adopters.
We also require that adopters keep us updated on the well being of their pets and, if for any reason they are no longer able to keep the animal, they MUST call us to return the animal to us. We will pick up if necessary.

More about this rescue
Bobbi and the Strays believe that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. Our purpose is to undertake rescue operations and to provide essential care for orphaned, stray, abused and special needs cats and dogs.
Through rehabilitation, socialization, and adoption, we endeavor to provide a humane service to all animals that come into our care. Additionally, we generate awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.
Through the years our mission has evolved from just rescue and adoption to community service and educational programs to improve the quality of life to all of the NYC boroughs and Long Island.
Our rescues are brought to schools to provide awareness, help prevent animal abuse and bullying by demonstrating and teaching love, compassion, and respect for life.
By establishing a program that serves low-income families, the elderly and disabled individuals, we bring the communities and animals together for a life of harmony through love and compassion for all.
Bobbi and the Strays is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt animal welfare organization, and a no-kill agency.
