Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mr Wiggles was to be put down the day I picked him up. He is an adorable little guy who listens well. He is crate trained and is up to date on shots and microchipped. . He loves to have belly rubs and kisses. He would make someone a very adorable baby. He is so wiggly when he comes to you wagging his tail.
He is 1-1/2 years old. He is waiting for his new home.
His donation fee is $350.00
The donation fee helps offset the needs of the other dogs at our rescue and the expenses incurred on this little guy.
We require a fenced yard if there are kids under the age of 12 in the home. Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.
PLEASE, if you aren't willing to work with your new rescue and let them get to know you at their own pace, please don't apply for one of my dogs. Returning a dog within 24-48 hours of picking it up is hard on the dog and hard on the rescuer. Go to a breeder if you want a cute little puppy that wags its tail when he sees you. He hasn't been through what a rescue dog has been through.
It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
