Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shine is an 11 year old character that if given the chance will quickly warm his way into your heart and home. He is an affectionate, well adjusted dog who is unfortunately seeking a furever home after previously spending his entire life with one family where he was a much loved member of the family.
Yes, like most seniors, Shine is a little grey around his muzzle, and his bark is a little hoarse, but these very traits are just part of what makes Shine such an endearing and easy dog to fall in love with. He is a little set in his ways (if dinner isn’t served at a reasonable hour, he’ll be sure to remind you!) and at times has ‘selective hearing’ (occasionally choosing to lounge in the backyard when you ask him to come inside yet miraculously hearing your call if you happen have a dog cookie in your hand!), but he is quick to return the favour of an affectionate pat with a little collie kiss, and is always happy to greet you at the door upon your return home
Shine enjoys the company of both men and women alike, and gets along well with both cats and other dogs. Shine walks well on a leash and would love to find a family that will go for short strolls with him and who would enjoy having his companionship out in the yard during nice weather. Another gentle canine buddy to play with would be bonus, although not mandatory. Shine is housetrained and is fine when left alone.
Shine has recently had a thorough exam at the vet including full bloodwork and the results are in… he’s a very healthy senior boy! The only ongoing medical issue is moderate arthritis in his front left wrist. This is managed with a once daily osteoarthritis medication that controls pain and inflammation. Additionally, Shine benefits from having to use as few stairs as possible and also appreciates having carpet or area rugs under his feet for traction.
