Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet this playful furbaby, named Jack! He only weighs 28 lbs., and you can count this little guy to do all the leg work for you! He absolutely loves fetch, so the better your throw, the further he’ll go! Jack is about 2 years old, he is really sweet, and perfect for an active or not so active adopter! He is just as happy running after a ball as he is alongside you!
Another popular hobby of Jack’s is playing in the water hose. Yup! That’s right…this little guy loves getting wet and wild! Aside from being playful and great with humans, Jack can get along with anyone! He is good with cats and other dogs.
Jack is heartworm positive, but RARE will cover the treatment with our veterinarian at no extra cost to the adopter or foster. Heartworms are treatable and dogs can live healthy, fulfilling, and amazing lives after treatment. Please don't let this stop you from giving an animal a good home that it deserves and needs so desperately. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
*****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!*****
Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.
All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
