Hawthorn is a cuddle buddy. He thinks he is a lap dog and he loves to give kisses. He's learning the ropes in his foster home and appears to be a quick learner. He's about 3.5 months old.
"Hawk" as he is called by his foster family, walks well on a leash and enjoys walking around the property. He sits nicely when asked and is working on his "stay". He seems very eager to learn is and food or toy motivated. One of his favorite things to do is play with his big red kong ball and after playing, he likes to go lay in the grass and chew on it. He is crate trained and keeps his crate clean. He loves to be in your lap or curled up next to someone when on the couch. He gives "hugs" by tucking his little head and nose into someone's neck. He's a very social dog and truly enjoys being with his people. He plays nicely with the other animals in the house and is confident enough to be by himself. We think Hawk will make a terrific family friend.
We do not believe he is a sibling to Magnolia or Cypress but he was rescued from the same shelter in South Carolina and was transported to MD by a wonderful ASR volunteer!
**When applying to adopt one of our puppies, please remember this: Up to the age of 8 months old, puppies cannot be left alone for a standard work day. Arrangements will have to be in place for 4 hour intervals until the pups are at least 8 months old. Having someone with them every 4 hours until they are older greatly facilitates the housebreaking process
If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $250.00.
