CHASE is a 9 weeks old pure bred male Shih Tzu puppy. He's had his first set of vaccines, he will need his second set of vaccines along with his Bordatella vaccine at 12 weeks. (10/17/16) If still in rescue he will receive the next set from us. He is a PUPPY, so therefore he is NOT housetrained. He will be ready for his forever home on or after Oct 4th.
He is on heartworm/flea/tick prevention and been dewormed 3 times. He is also microchipped. To adopt a puppy this young from us you not only pay an adoption fee of $550, you also pay a $200 REFUNDABLE neuter fee. If Chase is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines and proof given to us no later than Jan. 20, 2017, your deposit for neuter of $200 would be refunded to you by PayPal.
Chase already has a very sweet personality and will come when you call him. He's just learning his name, since we called him Pup, Pup until a name was chosen. He's been to the vet for an exam and worming, so he's very healthy. He weighs 2.5 lbs and growing daily. Both parents are black and white, but he is brindle, a mixture of some black, & brown with a little white on his chest. He's on a puppy grain free food and does very well. He also has a sister with our rescue. They are relatively quiet puppies, never making a peep at night once in the crate. We understand 3 pups were born, with one passing the first day.
Our rescue acquired these dogs from a breeder who is getting out of the business over the next few months, (we can only hope this is the truth and they don't keep breeding). When we got both puppies, they were so flea infested they had scabs around their necks. We've bathed them every couple of days and made sure there are no fleas, ticks or parasites of any kind now.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process, so emails are much preferred. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. We do NOT adopt to families with animals which have not been spayed/neutered.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, an adoption contract to be signed, and there is an adoption fee to be paid.
All adopters must be 21 or older. Once the preliminary application is approved a home visit is required to complete the adoption process. All adopters must enter into a legal and binding contract upon completion of the adoption. Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date on all vaccines, rabies and, microchip heart worm/flea prevention and medical records. Rabies, Spay/neuter is done by age/weight appropiate
