My name is Huxley, I'm about 8 years old and 6 lbs. Basically tall, chocolate and handsome. All you'd ever want in a stud muffin. I don't mean to brag, but I'm larger than life, super sweet and charming! Haven't you heard good things come in small packages? I'm very people social and make friends wherever I go, call me the "Chi Ambassador"! I especially love young kids!
My all time favorite activities including being with my people, going on walks, "hiking" with my foster mom in her backpack, napping, listening to talk radio and of course belly rubs, belly rubs, belly rubs. Did I mention I love belly rubs? I'm also a pretty smart cookie, I've learned to "sit" and 'leave it" plus I'm crate and potty pad trained. I can pick up new routines and adjust to new environments within a couple days because I'm a quick study and eager to please. I'm quiet, so I'm a great apartment dweller. If you work from home, I'd be a great co-worker because I won't talk your ear off.
I'm curious about other dogs but need a slow introductions, I tend to like the ladies more than the guys. I don't like to talk about my past much, but I was found left in a crate in a park with three other chihuahuas, another boy who I was bonded with and two girls. Therefore, I was likely once co-housed with multiple dogs, so I don't necessarily need to be the only chi in your life.
I'm a major snuggle bug; I enjoy burrowing under blankets whether on my bed or yours. I want nothing more than to give you kisses, cuddle on the couch, glaze lovely into your eyes and lay in your lap belly up. If I sound like the man of your dreams, let's meet!
I'm part of the Oakland Animal Services (OAS) foster program, so my adoption fee will be finalized through the shelter and my adoption fee is $135.
