My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Roscoe. I'm a 6 year old bichon frise. I was originally rescued by Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue back in 2010. I was placed with a family then when I was just a pup. Unfortunately, my family recently returned me to the rescue because they are moving and said they can't take me along. My rescuer is baffled as to how someone could give up such a sweet dog like me.

Since coming back to the rescue, I've been getting along great with all the other dogs, but enjoy human attention and interaction the most. I LOVE to be right next to one of my foster parents, snuggling on the couch. I miss them when they're gone and would be happiest with a family that doesn't leave me home alone while they work full time. Ideally, I'd love to go to a family where someone either works only part time or better yet is retired so we can be together all day long! You see, I just LOVE my people! My rescuer said I'm a typical bichon in that regard.

I'm completely vetted and up to date on everything. I was neutered when I was a pup. I've been on heartworm preventative and have a current heartworm test. I'm up to date on all my vaccinations. I weigh approx. 16 lbs. I'm in good health and just a happy little boy!

The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes and application, reference checks, and a home visit. We do not transport dogs via plane, transport service, etc. Adopters need to come to the foster home to adopt.
