My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is likely a long-hair Chihuahua mix but when she was found as a stray living under an abandoned house, the local shelter contacted PapAdopters to see if we could help. Of course we did, who could resist this adorable little girl? Lucy is now ready to find her forever home. She has made great strides in her foster home, Lucy has not had a lot of great experiences with people in the past so it will take her some time to get comfortable enough to show just how sweet she is. Once she settles in and starts to feel safe, her tail wags nonstop and she does the cutest little squeaky noises to “talk” to her people. Lucy is house-trained, is very good on a leash and loves to take walks. She would like you to know that she is much more comfortable around women than men but would likely warm up to a man who is very patient and willing to spend time gaining her trust. Lucy is also a bit afraid of cats and big dogs but she gets along wonderfully with other small, friendly dogs and would probably benefit from having another small dog in her new home to show her the ropes. This little girl will need a quiet, patient home willing to work with her but once you gain her trust, she will be the best little friend you could ever ask for and she’ll be well worth every minute you spend with her.
