Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bailey is a shy girl with gentle soulful eyes. She is about 8-9 years old, spayed female, shepherd mix. Bailey is gentle, shy, submissive and very sweet. Here is Bailey's story:
Bailey lived in a horrible horrible shelter in Taiwan for 7-8 years, caged for most of her life. This shelter used rescued dogs to raise money, but the money was never put toward the dogs. Her living environment was simply horrific. She was cages in a small area, sometime with lots of dogs (and some of the dogs were aggressive). Through the scars on Bailey's face, her crooked ear and her beautiful but sad eyes, they tell me the rough life she must have had.
Bailey was rescued out of that shelter and came to California in Feb 2016. It took her about 6 months to settle in a new environment. Because Bailey never knew anything other than the horrible environment she was in. She was very nervous and sensitive to new things. Initially, a sudden move, loud sounds, new people can startle her and cause anxiety and setbacks. HOWEVER, Bailey bonded with the foster mom almost immediately. Bailey would come to the foster mom for petting, following her indoor and outdoor. Bailey tents to stay away from active little kids and men. She is quiet, content, submissive and non-demanding. She would quietly stay by you. Just a little bit of attention or petting would make her very happy.
Bailey is fully potty trained and knows how to use pet door. Because of her shyness, we think Bailey would do better in a quiet home. From our experience, Bailey is ok with dogs and cats, but she doesn't play with them. Bailey is healthy, has all vaccinations and is micro-chipped. She is ready for her new permanent home.
