My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a note from Bonnie’s rescuer. She stepped up when Bonnie had nowhere else to go Her original owner moved out of state earlier this year and was unable to take Bonnie along. He left her with a young woman who has a big heart, but wasn’t equipped to take care of a big dog. So her new foster stepped up to help Bonnie avoid living in a shelter.

Bonnie is a 2 1/2 year old Rottweiler who is spayed and chipped. She loves walks in the sunshine but doesn’t mind a stormy day. She is social and playful. She especially likes a good game of ‘ keep-away’ where she gets to do most of the keeping away-- from you! She likes kids and people in general. She puts her chin on your leg when she wants her head scratched or neck rubbed, and nudges you with her paw or scratches the door when she wants to go out. She does well on a leash and doesn’t get excited by other dogs or animals along the way. . . she doesn’t bother the deer or cats, but really wanted to chase a fox one day. Thank goodness-- I was wondering if she was a real dog!

Since we’ve been fostering her for almost a month now and she hasn't chewed on anything in our house, has not been nervous during recent thunder-storms, and only barks when there is a reason. . . how weird is that?

Bonnie comes with a full assortment of accessories; leashes, collars, a harness, her brush and several toys. She does have a ‘dream house’ opened crate with a nice comfy bed and a raised food/water dish.

Bonnie is up to date on her shots and has a recent clean bill of health. She could stand to lose a few pounds . . . but who couldn’t.

She has the sweetest nature and deserves to be loved and wanted by someone who can give her attention and proper care, as well as love and a good home.
